Monday 28th November

This week was our penultimate week of Christmas crafts. Squirrel took the lead this week, starting Brownies and taking the register before explaining what we would be doing.  Rose ran the activity which was to make one or 2 melting snowman biscuits.  Rose explained that they were very easy to do:

  1. Take a digestive.
  2. Spread some icing on it.
  3. Place a marshmallow on it (your snowman).
  4. Decorate with the icing pens.

The Brownies could make one or 2 and were even allowed to eat them save trying to take them home 🙂  Great activity – thank you Rose.

Once finished and tables cleared, the Brownies had a choice of the last of the Christmas crafts to complete or make a Christmas card or two.

Weekly Best Brownies was a joint win with Rose nominating Charlotte and Maddison for volunteering to do the washing up.  Well done to both who received a lovely certificate, 1st Waddington (RAF) Brownies pencil and split the trophy and panda mascot between them.  This month’s smartest Brownie award went to Ruby who received a lovely certificate, Uniform Award badge and a dotty pencil.  Well done to all our winners this week – 25 points each for their Six scores.  Only one week left to collect scores and it’s neck and neck between the Rabbits and Squirrels!

Squirrel took the 3 Tweenies who are taking their promise next week to finish off their Becoming a Brownie books and Mission Promise Challenge badges.

Well done to Ava who has made a fantastic table decoration as part of her Hostess Badge for next week.  Photo uploaded – if you look closely you can see the “leader” has purple glasses like Daffodil, there are the 3 Brownies represented plus all the Sixes.  Well done Ava – absolutely wonderful 🙂

That’s it!  Daffodil has sent an email explaining what’s happening for our last 2 weeks – more details on this website under Events.  The next Rand Farm instalment is now due 🙂
