Sunday 1st January
Happy New Year!
We’re rearing to go and start back next week! We’ve lots of exciting things planned including completing the Amazing Asian Challenge badge by celebrating Chinese New Year, tasting Asian Food, making fruit sushi and learning to belly-dance! We will also be hosting a Valentine’s Bring a (Boy) Friend night, having a World Book Day themed evening and completing the Disability Awareness Badge. After Easter, we’ll be visiting Tesco to compete the Farm to Fork trail as part of the Healthy Heart Badge, inviting our Dads to join us for a Father’s Day celebration while raising money for Marie Curie Trust and having a Sports Day. We’ll also have our annual trip to a nature park and finish the term with another fantastic trip to Activities Away. Loads to do!
We’ve “only” 4 new Tweenies joining us this term keeping our Unit at a steady 30 Brownies but losing a lot of our older girls this year to Guides so we’ll have lots of new Sixers and Seconders 🙂
That’s it for now – Daffodil has sent a reminder email to all parents and everything else you need to know including subs, what to wear, what to bring etc. is on this website – take a peek, you never know what you may find!
