Monday 30 June – More Challenges!!
Hello everyone! Hard to believe that this time last year we were recovering from our brilliant Brownie weekend at Parva House. It was our first time at Parva and we had a smashing baking and windmill themed weekend complete with a trip to Heckington Windmill. To see what we got up to, read our weekend blog here! We are very much looking forward to returning there once the lock-down suspension has been lifted.
So, what have our Brownies been up to this week?
Aurora has been reading stories online for younger children every day since the lock down. So, for helping other people, she has won this week’s Best Brownie award – well done Aurora. Certificate in the post.
Mia has made a beautiful bracelet from the craft set included in May’s pack up.
Lilly completed last week’s newsletter challenge with 18 correct answers. Well done Lilly! She has also entered our design a Brownies at Home badge competition.
Gracie is working through the Lego challenge but now she has returned to school this is taking a little longer. Gracie has also designed a Brownies at Home badge.
Isla completed both of last week’s challenges; even more impressive, she managed the word scramble without the use of a badge book!
Grow Your Own badge. Chloe, Ellie N and Lilly to do the design & care plan clauses.
Baking Interest Badge. Isla J to do the design & decorate plus the story clauses.
Jobs Interest badge. Evelyn just to complete the last clause – the Interview.
Last week’s answer to Change a Letter is Good – Gold – Cold – Cord – Corn – Torn – Turn (although there could be other solutions!). Last week’s newsletter challenge answers were all the Brownie interest badges. This week’s blog challenge is Mystery Pictures. Can you work out what each picture is? Let Daffodil know how you did – answers to follow next week. There’s another, harder, challenge included in this week’s newsletter too.
That’s it for now. Keep safe, keep healthy and keep in touch xx
