September 2023

Macmillan coffee fundraiser

 We are hosting a Macmillan coffee ‘evening’ Our Brownie meeting will start as usual for the girls before getting ready for our parents and guests to arrive at 7pm. We do need donations of cake to sell though!

Christmas silent disco

Our end of term Christmas bash will be a Hawaii-themed silent disco! We’ll be dancing, playing fun party games and just having a great time. We’ll finish the night with our end of term awards and badge presentations.

District panto trip

We will be taking part in our annual district trip to a local panto. District trips are a great way to meet other members from the Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger units in Bracebridge Heath and Waddington villages.

March 2024

District thinking day

Our annual district thinking day event will be returning in 2024! This is a time for all Girlguiding members within our district (from Bracebridge Heath & Waddington units) to come together to celebrate World Thinking Day.

IBCC trip

We’re off to visit the International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC). The IBCC is a memorial and interpretation centre telling the story of RAF Bomber Command overlooking the city of Lincoln. The centre offers a fun, flexible learning experience specifically for youth groups such as Girlguiding or Scouts.

July 2024

Activity centre trip

Our end of term trip will be to a local climbing wall/soft play activity centre.  The centre has a 16 station indoor climbing centre with each wall designed and themed differently, with a variety of difficulties for the ultimate challenge! Their soft play area is the ultimate climbing, bouncing and playing adventure! 


Parva House

We are returning to Parva House in 2024!  A 2-night, full board adventure.  This venue is ideal for full on messy craft  weekends with painting, salt dough sculptures and all sorts of messy activities.  Plus a trip to Heckington Windmill!


Seagull House

We will return to Seagull House for our biannual weekend in 2025. It will be a one-night, full board adventure.  This venue is ideal for full on themed weekends with costumes, characters, decorations, activities, crafts and food all based on a particular theme as chosen by the Brownies.  Plus a trip to the beach!
